In Short…
Aadne Bruseth and Greg Stratton scored just under four minutes apart in the second half as No. 10 Missouri State (7-0-0, 6-0-0 MVC) handed the Loyola University Chicago men's soccer team (3-3-2, 2-2-1 MVC) a 2-0 defeat this afternoon at Loyola Soccer Park.

How It Happened
Junior
Billy Hency tallied the first attempt of the day for either side just 78 seconds in, heading wide of goal. Fellow junior
Fabian Becerra had a golden opportunity to put the Ramblers on top in the 15
th minute when he unleashed a blast from 15 yards out that forced an impressive stop out of Missouri State goalkeeper Michael Creek.
Â
With time winding down in the first half, junior
Simon Jillson came up with a pair of highlight reel saves, turning away Josh Dolling and Nicolo Mulatero in rapid succession to ensure the two Valley rivals headed to halftime knotted up at 0-0.
Â
Missouri State struck for its first goal of the afternoon just under three minutes into the second stanza. Kyle Hiebert served a long pass up for Bruseth, who evaded a Rambler defender before calmly depositing his attempt past an outstretched Jillson to make it 1-0. Stratton doubled the visitors' lead in the 52
nd minute, rising up to head home Jack Denton's corner kick and push the margin to 2-0.
Â
Loyola struggled to find its way through a well-organized Missouri State defensive unit as time began to run out in regulation. Adrian Barosen threatened to add a third in the 77
th minute, sending his attempt ringing off Jillson's near post. Added insurance wouldn't be needed on the day though, as the Bears picked up their seventh straight win on the year.
