Timmy Crawford fired the low round of the past two days for the Loyola University Chicago men's golf team as the Ramblers concluded play at the Butler Spring Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind. today.

The Ramblers posted a final-round 293 to finish fourth in the final team standings at 877 (292-292-293). Indiana Hills Community College (285-284-285=854) took home the team title, while the Warriors' Antoine Sale used a one-under-par 209 (70-70-69) to claim the top spot on the individual leaderboard.

"Another solid week for us," Loyola head men's golf coach
Erik Hoops said. "We had a few mental errors yesterday that put us a little behind the eight ball today, but, overall, the guys fought and kept grinding through some winding days of play. There are more lessons to be learned as we're coming up on the home stretch."

Crawford was terrific today at the par-70, 6,551-yard Highland Golf and Country Club. The Arlington Heights, Ill. product racked up three birdies on the day, the most by a Rambler, on his way to a one-under-par 69 to claim a seventh-place finish with a four-over-par 214 (73-72-69).

The senior pairing of
Devin Johnson and
Ryan Magee also landed in the top 20 on the final leaderboard. Johnson, out of Geneva, Ill., turned in a three-over-par 73 to earn a share of 12
th at 218 (71-74-73), while Magee, a native of Hawthorn Woods, Ill., tied for 19
th following a final-round 76 that brought his 54-hole tally to 222 (72-74-76).

Redshirt senior
Nick Welden moved up into a tie for 53
rd, shooting a five-over-par 75, his low round of the event, to finish with a 234 (81-78-75). Sophomore
Zach Walsh recorded a final-round 79 to finish tied for 36
th at 227 (76-72-79).

Loyola will compete close to home on Friday, April 2 when it visits suburban Lemont, Ill. for the John Dallio Match Play.
