STATE COLLEGE, PA – The Rambler men's golf team wrapped up a two-day event in State College Sunday afternoon. Loyola Chicago competed in the Rutherford Intercollegiate on the par-71, 7,130-yard Penn State University Golf Course - Blue.
Loyola finished tied for tenth at +25 (298-288-291) with a total score of 877.
"We didn't have our best stuff during the first round, but we certainly bounced back nicely during the second and third rounds," said head coach Peter Pougnet. "We are excited to work hard this week and go down to the A-10 Championship and have that experience."
Sebastian Kasun led the Ramblers, finishing +1 after three rounds. He scored 214 (74-69-71) to place tenth. He trailed behind Overton with 10 birdies, which tied 11th in the tournament.
Next up for the Ramblers, Charlie Kulwin placed 34th on the charts. He posted a three-round score of 219 (73-73-73). He also led the team with 42 pars, landing second in the tournament.
Dori Lee finished in 45th place with a score of 222 (76-74-72). He trailed behind Overton and Kasun with 8 birdies, which tied 25th in the tournament.
Zach Mulhearn and Jackson Overton wrapped up team play. Mulhearn tied for 55th with a score of 224 (75-74-75), while Overton also scored 224 (76-72-76) tied for 55th place. Overton led the team with 11 birdies, tying fifth in the tournament.
The Ramblers will head south to compete in the Atlantic 10 Championship April 27-30 in Orlando, Florida.
