CHICAGO (July 21, 2021) – Nate Loose (Honolulu, Hawai'i/Punahou), a 6-foot-7 opposite, has been added to the Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball roster for the 2022 season, head coach
Mark Hulse announced today.
"Nate brings size, versatility, and a nice competitive edge to the gym," Hulse said. "He comes from a great program and we look forward to getting him on campus."
Loose helped lead Punuhou High school to the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) title in 2021 and also played for Spike and Serve Volleyball Club. Punahou has won 10 of the last 11 state championships in Hawai'i, although the tournament was not held in 2020 or 2021.
Loyola, which finished the 2021 season ranked No. 10 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I-II Poll, posted a 15-6 overall record last season. The Ramblers welcome back a pair of AVCA Honorable Mention All-America selections in 2022 in setter
Garrett Zolg and outside hitter
Cole Schlothauer.
