Timmy Crawford this afternoon, the Loyola University Chicago men's golf team wrapped up a sixth-place finish at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational in Muncie, Ind.

The Maroon & Gold closed the 54-hole event at the Delaware Country Club (par 70, 6,501 yards) with a team score of 861 (283-289-289), landing just three shots back of Purdue Fort Wayne (290-275-293=858) and Oakland (279-286-293=858), who tied for fourth place. Wright State (271-269-278=818) rolled to the team title, while the Raiders' Cole Corder (62-68-70=200) finished atop the individual leaderboard.

"This week was really close to being a solid week," Loyola head men's golf coach
Erik Hoops said. "Wright State played some unreal golf to run away with that, but the rest of the leaderboard was quite bunched and we were just a few stretches of holes away from being 5-6 spots higher up the board and feeling really good about this week."

Crawford led the way for Loyola during final-round play, racking up four birdies on his front nine en route to his aforementioned score of 71. The Arlington Heights, Ill. native closed the event as part of a tie for 13
th place with a 212 (66-75-71).

Graduate student
Devin Johnson was the top Rambler on the individual leaderboard, earning a share of 11
th place following a final-round two-over-par 72 that brought his total to 211 (69-70-72). Junior
Dylan Ellis narrowly missed out on joining Johnson and Crawford in the top 20, as he turned in a four-over-par 74 to finish tied for 24
th at 215 (69-72-74).

Tyler Anderson and junior
Zach Walsh closed play tied for 60
th with respective scores of 227. Anderson (80-75-72) turned in his top individual round of the past two days, shooting a two-over-par 72, while Walsh (79-72-76) handed in a 76.

Competing as an individual, graduate student
Nick Bavaro ended play tied for 72
nd with a 233 (80-75-78) following a final-round 78.

"We're excited to get to Drake next week," Hoops added. "It's always been a course that we've liked and provides us with a good chance to see where we stack up in the MVC."
