Loyola Athletics Announces Gentile Arena Concessions Update

Food and beverages are temporarily no longer available

CHICAGO (January 12, 2022) – With COVID-19 cases rising not only in the City of Chicago, but also nationwide, Loyola University Chicago Athletics announced today that it will be suspending all concession stand services at Gentile Arena, effective immediately. This step is being taken in order to increase mask compliance and help mitigate the risk of contracting COVID-19.

In addition to the temporary shuttering of concessions operations, food and beverage service in the Wolves Den will also be suspended. Once the number of COVID-19 cases decreases to a level where it is deemed safe, concession stands will reopen at Gentile Arena.

Fans attending men's or women's basketball and men's volleyball contests at Gentile Arena will not be permitted to bring outside food or drink into the facility. Water will continue to be available.

The Ramblers are back in Gentile Arena on Friday (Jan. 14) when the nationally ranked men's volleyball squad plays its 2022 home opener versus Saint Francis (Pa.) at 7 p.m.
