CHICAGO (November 2, 2022) – Fresh off a program record 14th consecutive win, Loyola University Chicago (20-7, 14-0 A-10) will make its final road journey of the regular season when it travels to Dayton (15-12, 9-5 A-10) for a pair of matches on Friday (6 p.m. CT) and Saturday (3 p.m. CT). It'll be the first meeting in 20 years between the two programs.
Under head coach
Amanda Berkley, Loyola has reached 20 wins for the third time in five seasons. The Ramblers currently hold a two-game lead over Davidson for first place in the Atlantic 10 standings.
Loyola has won six straight road matches during its current tear, marking both the fifth-longest active overall winning streak in the nation, as well as the fifth-longest road win streak. Two victories this week would tie the 2019 squad for the highest single-season road win total (9) over the program's last 18 years.
Junior
Kelsey Watson was named A-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week, putting up 1.6 blocks per set across three wins last week. Watson currently ranks fifth in the A-10 in blocks (1.5/set) and third in overall hitting percentage (.333). Speaking of hitting percentage, senior

Offensively, junior
Karlie McNabb has powered the Ramblers' attack with 3.60 kills, 2.30 digs and 0.48 aces per set over the past 12 matches. Also,
Bree Borum has been stellar as of late with three consecutive double-double outings and 12 total on the season. The sophomore setter ranks third in the A-10 in assists (8.17/set).
Loyola currently leads the nation in team kills (1,376) and team assists (1,262), while leading the A-10 in hitting percentage (.246) and ranking second in opponent hitting percentage (.182).
Since the start of the 2020-21 campaign, Loyola is 47-3 (.940) when winning the first set of a match.
Scouting Dayton
The Flyers return home after being swept at Saint Louis last weekend, dropping both matches in four sets. Dayton won seven of eight matches prior to the pair of recent setbacks. Redshirt-sophomore Lexie Almodovar leads the Flyers, averaging 4.00 kills per set while swinging at a .221 clip. Defensively, redshirt-junior Amelia Moore leads the nation in total blocks (141). As a team, the Flyers are hitting .217 overall while limiting opponents to a .188 hitting percentage.
