Last Time Out
For the second straight game, Loyola led most of the contest and built a 10-point halftime lead at Eastern Illinois Sunday afternoon. But the Ramblers went cold, shooting 3 of 15 in the third quarter, while the host Panthers shot nearly 70% over the third and fourth quarters, combined. Still, Loyola battled to lead 58-56 on
Maya Chandler's 3-pointer at the start of the fourth quarter, and the Ramblers stayed within two possessions with a minute left, but the Panthers closed out the game at the free throw line.
Sophia Nolan led four Ramblers in double digits with a career-high 19 points and five rebounds.
Anna Brown knocked down four 3-pointers with 16 points, while Chandler (14) and
Sam Galanopoulos (13) contributed to the scoring. Loyola went 20 for 24 at the free throw line, raising its season team free-throw percentage to 86.2%.
