Loyola secured its fourth postseason berth in the last five seasons, and its eighth trip to the NCAA Tournament in program history, with a 64-58 victory over Drake on March 6 in the title game of the Missouri Valley Conference Championship to gain the league's automatic bid to the Big Dance.
Â
The Ramblers enter the postseason with a 25-7 overall record under first-year head coach
Drew Valentine, who is the only coach in program history to guide his team to a NCAA Tournament berth in his first season on the Loyola sidelines. This marks the first time since the 1962-63 and 1963-64 seasons that Loyola has earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back years.
