Timmy Crawford handed in the top effort of the day for the Loyola University Chicago men's golf team during the second round of the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship today in Paducah, Ky.

Led by Crawford, Loyola totaled a 306 at the Country Club of Paducah (par 72; 7,014 yards), shaving four strokes off its first-round total. Today's showing has the Ramblers in sixth place with a 36-hole tally of 616 (310-306).Â

Host Southern Illinois (295-285=580) holds a commanding lead atop the team standings, while Missouri State's Max Kreikemeier fired a five-under-par 67 today to take the lead in the race for individual medalist honors with a 141 (74-67).

Crawford wasted no time in getting off to a fast start this morning. The Arlington Heights, Ill. product recorded an eagle on the par-five 11
th hole as part of a three-over-par 75 that has him sitting tied for 16
th at 151 (76-75).

The pairing of graduate students
Ryan Magee and
Devin Johnson each sit just outside a spot in the top 20. Magee carded a 78 that featured three birdies, the top total by a Rambler, to move into a tie for 21
st with a 153 (75-78). Two shots back as part of a tie for 27
th in Johnson, who handed in a 76 that brought his total to 155 (79-76).

Zach Walsh resides in 29
th place at 157 (80-77) following a 77 today, while redshirt senior
Tyler Anderson is 44
th with a 169 (88-81) after posting an 81.
