Loyola Heads East to Take on Davidson

Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. (CT) on Wednesday, Jan. 4

CHICAGO (January 3, 2023) – Loyola University Chicago (6-7, 0-1 A10) hits the road for the first time in 2023 on Wednesday, January 4, when the Ramblers take on Davidson (8-6, 1-1 A10) in the program's first conference road game of the season. Tip-off inside John M. Belk Arena is set for 6 p.m. (CT) on CBS Sports Network.

Last Time Out
Marquise Kennedy (23 points) and Philip Alston (21) led five players in double-figure scoring Saturday, but the Ramblers were unable to slow down the hot-shooting George Washington Colonials in a 97-87 setback in the program's inaugural Atlantic 10 Conference game inside Gentile Arena. Loyola trimmed a 12-point second-half deficit down to four with just over six minutes remaining but was unable to contain the Colonials' James Bishop, who scored a game-high 40 points to go along with seven assists.

Loyola/Davidson – The Series
Loyola is 0-2 all-time against Davidson. Wednesday's game will mark the first time Loyola has traveled to Davidson, having played one neutral and one home game in the series.  The Ramblers and Wildcats met just over three years ago on Dec. 22, 2019, a 59-56 Davidson victory in Chicago. Current Rambler Marquise Kennedy came off the bench to score a team-high 13 points. The only other meeting in the series history was a neutral-site contest on Dec. 28, 1973 in which Davidson won by a 98-82 final.
