Ramblers Post Seventh Shutout of the Season vs. Richmond

Harrison scored the game-winner in the sixth minute

CHICAGO – Loyola Chicago women's soccer earned its second consecutive shutout Thursday night. Taylor Harrison scored her seventh goal of the season in the sixth minute leading the Ramblers to a 1-0 win.

With the win, Loyola improves to 7-6-2 overall and 3-2-2 in the Atlantic 10.

"I'm really proud of the girls tonight," said head coach Barry Bimbi. "We worked on somethings from the weekend. We tightened things up this week, and they implemented them into the game. The performance from the first whistle to the last whistle was absolutely first class."

How It Happened
It was another dominant performance for the Ramblers Thursday as they outshot the Spiders, 21-4 and 10-1 on goal, and it only took the first attempt to secure the win.

Amanda Cassidy sparked the play with a pass from 10-yards out of the top of the box to the left corner to Zoe Hevey who used one touch off her left foot to cross into the box. Harrison cut through two defenders for a wide-open look and found the back of the net in the sixth minute.

Before the half, the Ramblers tallied two more strikes on goal in an attempt to double their lead, but it remained 1-0 at the break.

The second half saw 14 more Loyola shots, half of which were on goal. Richmond's Taylor Montague made all the saves holding the Ramblers off at just the one goal Thursday night.

In the 58th minute, Marisa Snee placed the lone shot on goal for the Spiders nearly tying the match, but Naya Lipkens made the stop. The Ramblers went on to win, 1-0.
