CHICAGO - Loyola Chicago track & field continues indoor action this week with its final meet of the 2023 calendar year. Twenty Ramblers will compete Friday at the Blue Demon Holiday Invite in 10 different events.
The Rambler women will run in six events, while the men will run in four.
Loyola's action will get started at 5 p.m. at Gately.
Last weekend, the 2023-24 schedule took off to a hot start. Nine personal records were logged at the Purdue Northwest Classic on Friday, with five program top-10 times to follow at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at Boston University.Â
In the women's mile,
Roisin Treacy,
Grace Maurer,
Priscilla Ravera,
Eva Bednard, and
Autumn Dushack all cruised to new PRs. For the men's mile,
Trent Anderson also clocked a PR in his debut race.
The final personal best times were logged by
Fran Hendrickson (800m),
Jayla Johnson (200m), and
Aidan Collins (3,000m).
In Boston,
Jason Clayton landed fourth and
Gabe Smit eighth on the indoor 3,000m top-10 times list.
Delia McDade-Clay came in at fourth all-time in the women's 5k, while
Julia Isham landed 10th. The final top-10 time came in the men's 5k with
François Guilhot running the fifth fastest time in program history.
