CHICAGO (April 14, 2023) - The Ramblers return to their home turf this weekend to host another round of A-10 play. Loyola (14-19, 8-4) will play George Washington (13-19, 4-10) Saturday and Sunday. Both days are slated for a 12 p.m. start with Saturday featuring a doubleheader. It's the first time Loyola and GW will meet in program history.
LEADING OFF
• This week opened Wednesday with a crosstown clash at UIC.
Bailey Johnson and
Peyton Pepkowski combined for seven strikeouts, while five different Ramblers tallied a hit.
• The Ramblers won their third straight conference series last weekend at UMass. Loyola went 2-1 against the Minutewomen, 2-1 at St. Bonaventure, and 3-0 vs. Saint Joseph's The only series they haven't come out on top in was the A-10 opener vs. George Mason.

Madison Ebeling was tabbed the A-10 Player of the Week following her performance at UMass. She hit .700 (7-10) with a double, triple, and home run. She also tallied five runs, four RBI, and two stolen bases.
• Ebeling had a 3-for-3 outing in game two of last Friday's doubleheader. Two of those hits were multi-base hits with a triple and homer. She now leads the Ramblers with three home runs this season.

Andie Broniewicz and Pepkowski both have A-10 Pitcher of the Week nods this year. Both recognitions came after no-hitters for Loyola. Pepkowski retired eight batters against Butler back in March, while Broniewicz took down five Braves in a 2-0 win against Bradley.

Haley Wallace is on a six-game hitting streak for the Ramblers. She went 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs at St. Bonaventure to start the hot streak. Since then, Wallace has recorded a hit in the last four games, which includes a double at UMass.
• Pepkowski is up to 96 total strikeouts this season, which ranks fourth in the A-10. It also sits inside the NCAA top-100 ranking 85th in the nation. Pepkowski struck out a season-high 12 batters at St. Bonaventure.

Alicia Abbott is in her fourth year at the helm. During her tenure, the Ramblers are 56-87.
SCOUTING THE GEORGE WASHINGTON COLONIALS
George Washington sits at 13-19 overall and 4-10 in A-10 play going into this weekend's action. The Colonials dropped a mid-week doubleheader to George Mason on Wednesday. The Patriots outscored them 12-3. GW has two league wins against Saint Joseph's, one at Saint Louis, and one vs. Rhode Island. GW currently ranks eighth in the conference standings.
COLONIALS TO WATCH
• Arizona Ritchie leads GW hitting .333 through 32 starts. In 102 at-bats, she has a team-high 34 hits, including three doubles, one triple, and a homer. Ritchie has eight RBI and 23 runs scored. Ritchie is on a three-game hitting streak with one hit in each game.
• Ashley Corpuz has a team-leading 12 doubles and four home runs this season. She is second on the team with 19 RBI and has scored 18 times herself. Corpuz's .548 slugging percentage leads GW. She has two games this season with two doubles tallied.
• Rose Cano is 11-10 in the circle this year and has appeared in a team-leading 26 games. Over 128 innings of work, Cano has a 2.95 ERA. She has one shutout and 67 strikeouts.
