LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. (April 22, 2023) – After 36-holes at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship, the Loyola University Chicago women's golf team remains in fourth place following another strong round.
The Ramblers combined to shoot a second-round 303, shaving four strokes off of their previous round to wrap up the day with a 610 (307-303). Their efforts were enough to hold a five-stroke lead ahead of fellow conference affiliate member Dayton (308-307=615).
Sophomore
Cate Reisinger followed up her career-round from Friday with another strong showing, carding a 74 to sit in a share of 6
th place with a 146 (72-74). Graduate student
Lorenza Martinez shaved two strokes off of her previous score to enter the top-10 with a 152 (77-75). Finishing just one stroke behind Martinez was sophomore
Grace Suter, who shot a 76 in her second round to place in 12
th with a 153 (77-76). Junior
Abby Thielbar improved by four strokes to sit in 25
th with a 159 (81-78) while
Jolie Brochu carded an 86 to fill in for teammate
Adie Maki.
The Ramblers will wrap up the MAAC Championship on Sunday, with their first tee time beginning at 7:15 a.m. (CT) off of hole one. Sunday's final round will be broadcasted on ESPN+ beginning at 8:30 a.m.
