CHICAGO (May 6, 2023) - Loyola (23-21, 17-6) remained perfect at Loyola Softball Park after another pair of wins against Dayton Saturday. The Ramblers used a two-run first to win game one, 3-1. A late two-run sixth stole a 2-1 win in game two.

Game One // Loyola 3, Dayton 1
Loyola continues to come out on top when scoring in the first inning. This time around, the Ramblers plated two in the first.

Madison Ebeling led off with a double down the left field line.
Sierra Sass joined her on base with a walk, and both would score for the pair of runs.
Haley Wallace recorded an RBI with a sac fly, while Sass made the Flyers pay on a throwing error. Loyola held a 2-0 edge.

In the third, Dayton cut the lead in half. Pallardy doubled in the lead off slot. She scored on a wild pitch to get the Flyers within one.

Wallace added another RBI with a solo home run to left in the fourth. Her run was the final of the game, and Loyola held on for a 3-1 win.

Game Two // Loyola 2, Dayton 1
It was Dayton's turn to score in the first for an early lead. Papavasiliou doubled down the left field line to bring Kapsimalis home for the 1-0 edge.

The game was tame until the top of the fifth when the Flyers used three hits to load the bases with just one out.
Nova Sinskul made back-to-back clutch defensive plays to bail the Ramblers out of the inning unscathed.

The Ramblers tallied two hits in the fifth, but wouldn't find home until the sixth with another pair of hits.
Sydney Barnett led off with a single.
Ava Bieneman pinch ran and scored on a grounded out to second later in the inning.
Teagan Sopczak then brought in the winning run with a single to right field.

Loyola held off the Flyers in the seventh and won, 2-1.
