Ramblers Unveil 2023-24 Men’s Basketball Schedule

Season officially tips off on Wednesday, November 8

CHICAGO – The Loyola Chicago men's basketball team announced on Wednesday, Sept. 6 its schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season. The Ramblers' non-conference schedule features three marquee events and a pair of in-state showdowns before embarking on an 18-game Atlantic 10 conference schedule.

Nearly half of Loyola's conference games will be televised nationally, with the Ramblers set to appear on CBS Sports Network five times, the ESPN family of networks twice and USA once during league play. In total, the Ramblers will be on national television 11 times during the 2023-24 season.

Following a home exhibition against Trinity Christian College on Oct. 29, the regular season will tip-off on Wednesday, Nov. 8 when the Ramblers take on Florida Atlantic, a likely preseason top-25 team, in the Barstool Sports Invitational at Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

Back-to-back in-state foes will await the Ramblers inside Gentile Arena as Loyola will face Eastern Illinois (Nov. 11) in its home opener before squaring off against UIC on Nov. 14. The three-game homestand wraps up on Nov. 18 against New Orleans.

The Ramblers will spend Thanksgiving in Kansas City this year, competing in the Hall of Fame Classic. Creighton awaits Loyola in the opening round on Nov. 22 and will face either Boston College or Colorado State the following day. Both games will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.

Head Coach Drew Valentine's squad will return to Chicago for a pair of home games against Chicago State (Nov. 28) and Harvard (Dec. 2) before hitting the road to take on Tulsa (Dec. 5) in the team's lone true road game of the non-conference slate.

Loyola will take on Goshen College in the program's final game before a short break for finals week. Coming out of exams, the team will head to Atlanta, Georgia to take on South Florida as part of Holiday Hoopsgiving in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPNU.

The Ramblers will close out the non-conference slate at home, taking on Charleston Southern and Central Michigan on Dec. 19 and Dec. 30, respectively.

The Atlantic 10 season will get underway on the road as Loyola will travel to Saint Louis on Wednesday, Jan. 3. Following the quick trip to Saint Louis, three of the next four conference games will be at home, including contests against Duquesne (Jan. 6), Richmond (Jan. 9) and Massachusetts (Jan. 17). Highlighting the conference home slate is a Friday evening game against Dayton, set to be televised nationally on the ESPN family of networks on March 1, and Senior Day against La Salle on March 9.

Tip-off times and network designations will be announced at a later date.
