Women's Volleyball Heads to Duquesne

LEADING OFF
Loyola Chicago takes a three-win streak into the weekend against Duquesne. The Ramblers swept their last three matches over George Mason and Saint Louis and look to continue in Pittsburgh. The Dukes have dropped their last three but hold a 7-4 home record ahead of the weekend action.

QUICK HITS
• Loyola Chicago has swept its last three matches. Two came in a home series over George Mason, while the week started out with a Tuesday contest down at Saint Louis.
• At SLU, Bree Borum recorded her sixth straight double-double with 33 assists and 10 digs. She had 34 assists and 13 digs the game prior vs. GMU, while in the first meeting with the Patriots she had 30 assists and 11 digs.
• Borum has 15 double-doubles and two triple-doubles this year. Her most recent triple-double was against VCU (Oct. 19). She recorded 11 kills, 41 assists, and 12 digs. It marked the sixth triple-double of her career.
• The senior setter is nearing two career milestones. She has 2,807 assists and 953 digs as a Rambler. Borum will move up to fifth-place all-time when she hits 3,000 career assists.
• Marta Cvitkovic and Esma Ajanovic led Loyola's attack at Saint Louis earlier this week. Both eclipsed 10 in the match. Cvitkovic had 12, while Ajanovic added 11.
• Cvitkovic is on a four-match streak with at least 10 kills. She had 17 vs. VCU (Oct. 19) to spark the streak followed by 12 and 13 against GMU in matches one and two, respectively. She ranks seventh in the A-10, averaging 2.96 kills per set.
• Ann Marie Remmes was tabbed A-10 Defensive Player of the Week following her efforts vs. GMU. Remmes had eight of Loyola's 11 blocks in win one over the Patriots. She added another four in match two.
• On top of her defensive performance, Remmes hit a perfect 1.000 with nine kills in the second match. Remmes remains second in the A-10, hitting .367 this season.
• Head coach Amanda Berkley is in her seventh season at the helm. Her overall record with the Ramblers is 126-76.

SCOUTING DUQUESNE
The Dukes enter the weekend at 13-11 overall and 4-8 in A-10 play. They have dropped their last three matches, which includes a 3-0 sweep by No. 19 Dayton. Duquesne has split series with wins against George Washington, Saint Louis, Rhode Island, and Fordham. The Dukes hold their opponents to a .185 hitting percentage, which is second best in the league.

Elizabeth Drelling leads the Dukes with 269 kills (2.89k/s) this season, while teammate Ariel Helm ranks fifth in the conference with a .345 hitting percentage. Drelling has 16 matches with double-digit kills, including a season-high 18 vs. Fordham. Helm had a double-double with 12 kills and 10 blocks vs. Saint Louis while she hit .524.

SERIES HISTORY
Loyola leads the all-time series 6-0. The Ramblers picked up a sweep in the first meeting last year following by a 3-2 battle in match two.
