Men’s Volleyball Inks Two on National Signing Day

CHICAGO – Men's volleyball at Loyola University Chicago is excited to announce the commitments of two new Ramblers, Ayden Deslauriers and Finn Rubin, to the 2025-26 roster.  

"The addition of Ayden and Finn to our 2025-26 roster brings an extraordinary blend of talent and experience to Loyola. We believe they'll be key contributors to our program's future success and know that they'll bring a strong impact from day one," said head coach Shane Davis.  

Ayden Deslauriers | Outside Hitter | Eastport, N.Y. | Eastport South Manor 
Hailing from Eastport, N.Y., Deslauriers is a five-year letterwinner at Eastport South Manor where he accumulated over 1,000 kills, more than 500 digs and 100 plus aces in his career. Deslauriers helped lead his team to a state championship title and four county championships. The outside hitter is a four-time All-County and All-County Tournament pick; he was named All-State and All-State tournament after his freshman campaign. Deslauriers notched All-County Elite honors during his sophomore and junior seasons and was named the Suffolk County MVP in 2024. He plays club for Academy Sports of Long Island.  

Davis on Deslauriers: "Ayden is a dynamic outside hitter who brings both skill and a winning mentality. He's dedicated and has high-level playing experience. We're excited for him to bring his athleticism and leadership to our team." 

Finn Rubin | Middle Blocker | Columbus, Ohio | Thomas Worthington 
Midwest middle blocker Rubin joins the Ramblers as a four-year letterwinner out of Columbus. The 6-foot-8 2024 Regional Player of the Year has a .450 hitting percentage, gets 2.7 blocks per game and has an 87 serve percentage. Rubin garnered First Team All-State and First Team All-Conference accolades. He plays club for A2/C2.  

Davis on Rubin: "Finn is a powerful presence at the net with outstanding hitting efficiency and blocking ability. We look forward to having his talent and competitive edge in the middle for our team."
