LEXINGTON, Ky. – Loyola Chicago men's volleyball student-athletes Aidan Klein, Daniel Fabikovic and Josh Schellinger earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American honors, announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
In his first-ever AVCA recognition, Klein claimed Second Team All-American status, following an All-Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) First Team recognition and an All-Tournament Team pick – both career firsts. A native of Evanston, Ill., the 6-foot-9 junior middle blocker and 1x MIVA Defensive Player of the Week, had a standout season for the Ramblers, pacing the MIVA in hitting percentage (.541) for the latter half of the season. He recorded four matches with double-digit kills while hitting above .550. Klein led Loyola in blocks (101) and posted a career-high seven two times this season.
Junior outside hitter Fabikovic earned the first AVCA Honorable Mention of his career after back-to-back seasons on the Second Team. He recorded his third consecutive All-MIVA First Team honor and second straight season on the All-Tournament Team back in April. Hailing from the Czech Republic, the 6-foot-6 Rambler led Loyola offensively with 279 total kills and was second on the team in digs (136). Alongside Klein, Fabikovic started and played all 30 matches this season. He recorded 14 matches with double-digit kills and posted a career-high nine digs in the MIVA Tournament semifinals.
For the second straight season, Schellinger is an AVCA Honorable Mention after earning the first of his career in 2025 at UC San Diego. He ranked second on the team in total kills (247) and in kills per set (3.09) while coming in third in digs (104). Born and raised in Bloomingdale, Ill., Schellinger recorded MIVA Offensive Player of the Week after posting a season-high 19 kills against his alma mater. The 6-foot-5 outside hitter also posted Loyola's sole double-double of the season, racking up 11 kills and a season-high 10 digs at McKendree.
The Ramblers mark their second straight year where at least three student-athletes earned AVCA All-American honors.
