WASHINGTON – Loyola University Chicago goalkeeper Aidan Crawford has been named the Atlantic 10's final Defensive Player of the Week for 2024, as announced by the league office on Monday. Crawford delivered an impressive performance with seven saves in the team's 4-1 victory over Saint Joseph's on Saturday.
The keeper delivered a stellar performance, holding Saint Joseph's scoreless with seven crucial saves—just one shy of his career high—before being subbed out in the 83rd minute. His efforts included an incredible save against a Davidson penalty kick.
Through his time between the posts, he faced 14 saves and had a perfect save percentage.
The plaudit marks the Wilmette, Ill., native's first of the season. Â
