PHILADELPHIA – Loyola Chicago came away with a series win over Saint Joseph's Sunday as the Ramblers downed the Hawks 4-2 in the finale. Jocelyn Currie scored the winning run in the fourth inning.
 
With the win, Loyola improves to 25-21 overall and 14-9 in A-10 play.
 
The Ramblers scored all four runs in the fourth inning helping secure the win over the Hawks. Loyola loaded the bases with the help of three walks and a fielder's choice to open the inning. Abbie Gregus was walked with two outs to bring in the first run.
 
Gregus, Bella Crimaldi, Ava Bieneman, and Haley Wallace were walked in four straight at-bats, which plated all Loyola's runs. The string of walks forced two SJU pitching changes, but the Ramblers went up 4-0.
 
Cancila doubled to lead off the sixth inning for the Hawks and crossed home on a sac fly to deep left field putting Saint Joseph's on the board. Cancila tallied another RBI single in the seventh, but the rally fell short. Loyola wins, 4-2.
