CHICAGO – Loyola Chicago has added guard Justin Moore to the 2024-25 roster. Moore is a transfer from Drexel where he played two seasons with the Dragons.
"Justin is a dynamic and poised lead guard we knew we had to add this off-season," said head coach
Drew Valentine. "He is fantastic with his ability to not get sped up in ball screens, yet also has A-10 caliber speed in the full court. He's got that ability to create in the mid-range in the late shot clock and with our player development we can really see him growing physically. Justin gives us a mature and experienced presence and when he got around our coaching staff and players on his visit, he fit right in. Can't wait to coach him!"
Moore averaged a team-leading 12.4 points per game as a sophomore. He also led the team with 3.5 assists per game and 1.1 steals per game. Moore added 3.6 rebounds per game and 0.2 blocks per game.
The Philadelphia native recorded 19 games with at least 10 points scored, including five with at least 20. His sophomore campaign was highlighted by a career-high 34 points (13-24 FG, 3-6 3PT, 5-5 FT) at Bryant last December.
As a freshman, Moore was a CAA All-Rookie selection after averaging 9.6 points and 3.1 assists per game. He posted a then career-high 21 points in a win over Delaware earning a Rookie of the Week nod. He scored 10-plus points on 11 occasions as a rookie and led the squad with 77 assists on the year.
Moore is a graduate of Archbishop Wood where he led the Vikings to a 21-8 record and a berth in the PIAA State Championship game. He averaged 15.2 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game. He was a First Team All-Catholic League selection as a senior and named The Reporter/Times Herald/Montgomery Media 2021-22 Boys Basketball Player of the Year.
