Ramblers, Billikens Meet Tuesday

CHICAGO - Loyola Chicago takes a quick mid-week trip to Saint Louis Tuesday. First serve between the Ramblers and Billikens is at 4 p.m. CT. The Billikens are on a four-match losing streak, looking for their first A-10 win, while the Ramblers split with George Washington over the weekend.

The match will be streamed on ESPN+.

• The Ramblers split last weekend at home against George Washington, improving to 3-1 in Atlantic 10 action.
• Loyola used a whole team effort for the 3-2 win over GW Friday night. Kaitlyn Burke, Ava Hunter, and Emma Henry had double-doubles, Three Ramblers were in double-figure kills, two in double-figure assists, and four in double-figure digs.
• Burke registered a double-double with 14 kills and 16 digs. Her 14 kills were a team-high.
• Henry and Hunter each had double-doubles. Henry with 24 assists and 15 digs. Hunter with 23 assists and 15 digs.
• The week prior, Loyola improved to 8-0 all-time against Fordham after sweeping the Rams last weekend int he Bronx. The Ramblers swept match one and downed the Rams 3-1 in match two.
• In the four set contest, Josie Halbleib had her second triple-double of the season, tallying 10 kills, 31 assists, and 10 digs. She added four blocks.
• Halbleib was one of four Ramblers with double-digit digs. Jae Fitting led the match with a season-best 19.
• Loyola ranks in the nation's top-25 in four categories. The Ramblers sit 21st with 842 total kills and 19th with 2,371 total attacks. They come in at 20th in total assists (784) and 21st in total digs (1,001). The Ramblers also fall in the top-50 in blocks, ranking 45th with 144 this season.
• Avary DeBlieck shot up the blocking charts after 16 this weekend against GW. DeBlieck had nine in match one with seven to follow in match two. She ranks 49th in the country with 69 blocks this season.
• Halbleib has recorded double-figure assists in nine of her 11 appearances this season. She's put together an eight-match streak, which saw a season-high 57 assists vs. DePaul.
• Head coach Amanda Berkley is in her eighth season at the helm. Her overall record with the Ramblers is 142-87.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Saint Louis is taking a four-match losing streak into Tuesday's contest, having fallen to George Mason and VCU as Atlantic 10 play opened up. Before the skid, the Billikens sat at 8-3 with four sweeps over non-conference opponents.

Saint Louis is sitting middle of the pack in the A-10 in most stat categories. The Billikens are trending towards the top in opponent hitting percentage. They are holding opponents to .187, ranking third in the A-10 and 80th in the NCAA.

Ellie Rink is making a statement as a freshman, winning three Rookie of the Week nods. She ranks second in the A-10 in attacks per set (10.7), kills per set (3.82), and total attacks (610). Her 218 kills ranks third in the conference and 61th in the country. She has nine matches with 10 or more kills and four with at least 20. The freshman hitter recorded a career-high 29 vs. Missouri State.

SERIES HISTORY
Loyola leads the all-time series 17-6 and have won the last seven match ups. The Ramblers haven't lost since 2006.
