Loyola Chicago Welcomes Duquesne to Gentile

CHICAGO - Loyola Chicago welcomes Duquesne to Gentile Arena this weekend. The Ramblers look to build on their 4-1 league record while the Dukes need to snap a three-match skid. First serve Friday is set for 6 p.m. with a 2 p.m. start to follow on Saturday.

Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.

QUICK HITS
• Loyola has won four of its last five matches after downing Saint Louis on the road earlier this week in a five-set thriller.
• The Ramblers crawled out of a 2-1 deficit to beat the Billikens. Three Ramblers landed in double-digit kills to help the Loyola effort. Kaitlyn Burke led with 16, while Karlie Molnau and Ann Marie Remmes tallied 14 and 13 respectively.
• Sam Falk recorded 12 digs after being sidelined due to injury for a couple matches. Falk has now recorded at least 10 digs in every appearance this year. In the A-10, Falk ranks second in both total digs (259) and digs per set (4.18). She's in the nation's top-100 in both categories.
• The Ramblers split last weekend at home against George Washington, improving to 3-1 in Atlantic 10 action.
• Loyola used a whole team effort for the 3-2 win over GW Friday night. Kaitlyn Burke, Ava Hunter, and Emma Henry had double-doubles, Three Ramblers were in double-figure kills, two in double-figure assists, and four in double-figure digs.
• Burke registered a double-double with 14 kills and 16 digs. Her 14 kills were a team-high.
• Henry and Hunter each had double-doubles. Henry with 24 assists and 15 digs. Hunter with 23 assists and 15 digs.
• Burke has reached double-figure kills in six of the last seven matches, and is on a four-match streak with at least 10. She leads Loyola with 203 total kills this season and is averaging 2.86 kills per set while hitting 202.
• Avary DeBlieck is a force at the net, ranking 39th in the country with 72 total blocks. She has at least one in every match this season and recorded a season-high nine blocks vs. George Washington last weekend. DeBlieck needs 103 on the year to crack into the single-season top-10 list.
• Five of Loyola's wins this season have come via five sets and have played in eight five-set matches this year. Loyola has only seen five sets a six combined times in the previous two seasons.
• Head coach Amanda Berkley is in her eighth season at the helm. Her overall record with the Ramblers is 142-87.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Duquesne is 9-7 overall entering the weekend and sit a 4-1 in Atlantic 10 play. The Dukes dropped their last three matches to George Mason and Dayton. Duquesne stole a five-set battle at VCU for its lone league win of the year.

The Dukes have success on the serve, ranking second in the conference and 54th in the country with 1.79 aces per set. The squad has a combined 113 aces on the year, ranking 29th in the NCAA.

Individually, Hannah Wilson leads the Dukes with 27 aces, ranking 44th in the country. Emersen Schrom is one of the nations best attackers, ranking seventh in the NCAA with 275 kills this season. Her setter, Chloe Wilmot, leads the nation in assists with 676.

Loyola leads the all-time series, 8-0. The Ramblers swept both meeting last year on the road.
