Loyola Chicago Sweeps Atlantic 10 Cross Country Titles in Dayton

Men Capture Third A-10 Crown in Four Years; Women Repeat as Champions

DAYTON, Ohio — The Loyola University Chicago cross country programs reaffirmed their dominance on Saturday morning, sweeping the Atlantic 10 Championships at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Dayton, Ohio. The Ramblers claimed both the men's and women's team titles — marking the program's third sweep of the conference championships in the last four years.

The Loyola men captured their third A-10 title in four years, winning in commanding fashion with just 28 points. Five Ramblers placed inside the top 10 — all earning All-Conference honors — led by senior William Sinclair (2nd, 23:58.1). He was followed closely by Jake Phillips (4th, 24:01.6), Nate Boutin (6th, 24:04.0, PR), Yusuf Baig (7th, 24:08.2), and Hayden Healey (9th, 24:11.0). Jason Clayton (20th, 24:40.3) and Izak Bibile (26th, 24:44.7) finished next, while Colby Revord (36th, 24:55.4, PR) and Rodolfo Sanchez (45th, 25:04.5) added valuable depth.

The Loyola women repeated as Atlantic 10 champions with a strong team effort, finishing with 51 points to outpace the field. Three Ramblers finished among the top 15 to earn All-Conference accolades: Roisin Treacy (2nd, 20:39.8), Barbara Neiva (5th, 21:16.5), and Bethany Graham (7th, 21:21.0). Maggie Powers (18th, 21:41.6) and Eileen Seebon (19th, 21:45.0) crossed the finish line next while Pippa Carcas (34th, 22:01.9) and Angy Salado Fernandez (45th, 22:19.3) rounded out the Rambler lineup.

Head Coach Gavin Kennedy was honored as Atlantic 10 Cross Country Coach of the Year for both the men's and women's teams, earning the distinction for a seventh time.

With both championships in hand, Loyola now turns its attention to the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, set for Nov. 14 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where the Ramblers will aim to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
