CHICAGO – Loyola Chicago student-athletes posted a 95 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) per the NCAA's latest report released Wednesday afternoon.
This year's Division I GSR Report is based on the most recent six-year graduating class of student-athletes who entered as freshmen in 2018-19. The NCAA's GSR metric evaluates the academic success of student-athletes who received athletics aid.
Several teams achieved perfect GSR scores, including women's basketball and women's cross country & track and field. Men's soccer, men's golf and men's volleyball combined for a 100 percent mark.
The remaining programs recorded near-perfect GSR scores with women's soccer, women's golf and women's volleyball combining for 94 percent while men's basketball recorded a 90 percent mark and men's cross country & track and field posted an 85 percent score.
44 student-athletes graduated after entering in 2018-19.
The NCAA GSR Report is released annually and reflects student-athlete academic outcomes over a rolling four-year period; the NCAA began compiling these figures with the entering freshman class of 1995.
