Valentine Signs Two on Signing Day

CHICAGO – Head men's basketball coach Drew Valentine added two signees on National Signing Day. Ryan Kreager and Jaxson Terry will join the Ramblers next fall.

"Our staff is juiced to be bringing in two guys that really fit the DNA of our program," said Valentine. "Both guys have good positional size, skill level, and the ability to be two-way Impact players. I saw both young men play against some of the best talent in the country this summer and what stood out the most is how much their teams were connected and how much winning they both did. We couldn't be happier to welcome Ryan and Jaxson to the family officially today."

Ryan Kreager | Center | 6-10 | 205 | Faribault, Minn.
Kreager is currently a three-year letterwinner out of Faribault Senior High and is a three-star receuit per 247 Sports and On3. He's played in 69 career games, racking up 793 points, 579 rebounds, 132 blocks, and 56 steals ahead of his senior season. He had his best year of shooting as a junior, averaging 60.6 percent from the field. Kreager was a unanimous Big Nine All-Conference selection as a junior and received honorable mention accolades as a sophomore.

Valentine of Kreager: "Ryan is oozing with talent, and we cannot wait to get to work with him. He's got a frame that we think will really fill out in time but some of the ways that he impacts winning will help our program immediately. He's got a rare combination, similar to Miles Rubin, of rim protection and quick feet on the perimeter that has made him into one of the premier defenders across the country. In our culture of player development, we think he has an incredibly high ceiling. We have loved getting to know Ryan and his amazing family, and we are excited to welcome them all to the program!"

Jaxson Terry | Gaurd | 6-5 | 205 | Acton, Ma.
Terry is a three-year letterwinner out of CATS Academy and is gearing up for senior year. He's a three-star recruit via 247 Sports and On3. Last season, Terry became a 1,000-point scorer and helped his team make a run to the Class AA championship game. Terry also helped Expressions Elite made a Cinderella run to the Peach Jam semifinals following his junior season. He was an All-Defensive selection, averaging 13.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.5 spg, and 1.0 bpg.

Valentine on Terry: "Jaxson is someone that brings so many competitive traits that have made players great here. He tough and physical and really prides himself on playing both sides of the court. Offensively, he's a guy that can knock down shots from the perimeter and also take advantage of smaller defenders by dribble post ups. He's played and practiced against the highest competition in EYBL & EYBL scholastic, and we see his production really translating in our style of play. Jaxson and the rest of the Terry family have been awesome to get to know, and we are fired up to welcome them all to the family!"
