How It Happened
Dotson picked up where he left off and drained the first points of the game from beyond the arc. Despite Rhode Island pulling ahead 10-4 early, Dotson hit two straight threes to cap an 8-0 run and put the Ramblers up by two with 13:40 to play, 12-10.

Loyola went on another 7-0 run shortly after the under-12 media timeout. Nic Anderson banked in a corner three, while Alexander Richardson battled inside for an eight-point edge. The Ramblers grew their lead to 11 on a three from Deywilk Tavarez at the 4:26 mark, but the Rams scored the final seven points to cut the lead down to four by halftime. The Ramblers led 31-27 at the break.

Moore opened the second with five straight points forcing an early timeout by the Rams. They'd get a pair of free throws before Loyola scored the next four points to grow its lead back to double-digits. Moore would stay hot, pushing the lead to Loyola's largest yet with a three at the 12:44 mark, 49-35.

Both the Ramblers and Rams faced five-minute scoreless droughts after Moore's three, but Rubin snapped the streak with a layup to grow the lead to 16 with under eight to play. Rhode Island chipped away in the final minutes and cut Loyola's lead down to six after a three-point play from RJ Johnson and then down to four on two different possessions in the final 20 seconds. The Ramblers held on to win, 61-57.
