Loyola Chicago (2-8, 0-0 A-10) softball travels to Greenville, N.C. for the Pirate Invitational at East Carolina where the Ramblers will face Boston College, ECU and Canisius across two days. All matchups scheduled on Friday, Feb. 21 were cancelled due to inclement weather in the area.

- Head coach Alicia Abbott clinched her 100th career win in the Maroon and Gold after Loyola defeated St. John's, 2-1, on Friday, Feb. 14 in walk-off fashion.
- Loyola picked up its first two wins this season over North Dakota (Feb. 7) and St. John's (Feb. 14).
- Liz Sedakis leads the team in batting average (.375) and is in second in on-base percentage (.444) while Sierra Sass is second in batting average (.333) and first in on-base percentage (.500).

- Loyola tabbed No. 3 in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, raking in 84 points, for its second straight season in the league's preseason top three.
SCOUTING REPORT
The host of the Pirate Invitational, East Carolina, is currently 5-4 overall this season and are on a one game losing streak after falling, 4-3, to UMBC (Feb. 15). During their last outing at the Pirate Clash, the Pirates managed to grab a pair of decisive wins against No. 22 Boston. Kanisha Anderson is leading the team in runs (10) and hits (11) while Kendall Frost is the team leader in pitching with an ERA of 1.14 through nine games.
Boston College has a 5-5 record heading into this weekend's tournament, and secured its largest win margin, 8-2, over Indiana State (Feb. 8). In the Eagles' most recent outing at the Bubly Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., they went 2-3, picking up wins against Binghamton and Providence. Zoe Hines is currently leading the team in batting average (.393), slugging percentage (.500), total bases (14) and doubles (3). In the circle, Kelly Colleran has an ERA of 3.18 with 10 strikeouts.
After a 3-2 victory over IU Indy to open the season, Canisius went on to lose four straight. The Griffins were able to make changes and come out with a win against Furman (Feb. 18). Canisius heads into this weekend with a 2-5 record on the season. Ella Johel is leads the Griffins in batting average (.524), slugging percentage (.905), hits (11), home runs (2) and doubles (2). Leading their bullpen is Olivia Manchester with an ERA 2.10 through 16.2 innings pitched. She has struck out 11 batters and allowed only eight runs so far this season.
