Peyton Pepkowski recorded her 600th career strikeout, becoming just the second Rambler to ever meet that milestone, in Loyola Chicago's (4-24, 0-5 A-10) doubleheader loss Saint Joseph's in the home opening Atlantic 10 series on Saturday, March 22.

Maddy Hickey's RBI single that plated rookie
Alli Pawlowicz, giving the Ramblers a promising start. However, Saint Joseph's responded in the third with a two-run double to put the Hawks ahead, 2-1. Loyola briefly reclaimed the lead in the fourth with freshman
Averi Vander Woude's RBI double and a run-scoring single by
Haley Wallace to make it 3-2.
The Hawks stormed back late in the sixth inning, hitting an inside-the-park home run to tie the game then they added two more runs to go ahead 5-3. Saint Joseph's sealed the game in the seventh with two more insurance runs. Loyola's Pepkowski took the loss, giving up five earned runs on seven hits through six innings.

In the second game, Saint Joseph's dominated from start to finish, striking early with an unearned run in the first inning.
