Berkley Adds Missouri State Transfer

CHICAGO – Head coach Amanda Berkley adds transfer setter Josie Halbleib to the 2025 women's volleyball roster. Halbleib played her first three seasons at Missouri State after redshirting the Fall 2021 season at Kansas State.
 
"We are excited to welcome Josie to the Rambler women's volleyball family," said Berkley. "She is someone we have known about for a while as she has connections with several former players. Throughout the recruiting and transfer process, we have learned what a great teammate and person she is. She will be a leader coming in for this team and will be a versatile player for us. We are excited for Josie to be here and to compete for a championship!"
 
In her three seasons at Missouri State, Halbleib played in 92 sets, racking up 76 kills, 341 assists, 68 digs, and 36 blocks.
 
As a junior last season, she saw time in 11 matches, making two starts. Halbleib totaled 18 kills, four digs, an assist and a block. Her season was highlighted by a season-high six kills against Tulsa (Sept. 4).
 
In 2023, Halbleib played in a season-high 59 sets. She made four starts as a setter. She finished the year with 46 kills, 311 assists, two aces, 53 digs, and 31 blocks. Halbleib registered a career-best 42 assists against Central Michigan and got the double-double with 13 digs and eight kills.
 
Halbleib saw her first collegiate time as a redshirt freshman in 2022. She appeared in 22 sets over 11 matches. She finished the year with 11 kills on .269 hitting, 29 assists, 11 digs, four blocks and an ace.
 
In addition to her athletic success, Halbleib was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in eight straight semesters, a three-time MVC academic Honor Roll member, and a two-time MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award winner.
