WASHINGTON – Loyola Chicago couldn't overcome a first half run by George Washington Saturday afternoon, falling 101-66.
Joshua Ola-Joseph scored a season-high 20 points on 7-11 from the field.
Loyola falls to 5-12 overall and 1-3 in A-10 play.
How It Happened
The Revs delivered a 22-0 run to open Saturday's game, holding the Ramblers scoreless until the 11:57 mark of the first. Loyola was 0-11 by the 12:49 media timeout.
Joshua Ola-Joseph put the Ramblers on the board and scored their first five points. He had 13 by the half to lead Loyola's offense.
Despite getting to the rim for the remainder of the half, Loyola couldn't quite make a dent in GW's lead.
Miles Rubin scored nine on 5-7 in the first, and
Nic Anderson added seven, but the Ramblers trailed at the break, 60-39.
Loyola opened the second on a 10-1 run that saw five straight from Anderson.
Deywilk Tavarez connected from three-point range with 14:48 on the clock to get Loyola within 13, but a 7-0 run pushed the Revs ahead by 20 once again. The Ramblers couldn't find their footing for the remainder of the game, falling 101-66.
