Ramblers Road Trip to DC

CHICAGO - Loyola Chicago heads to D.C. to take on George Washington to wrap up this week's action. The Ramblers and Revs dropped their last games and need wins to rebound. Tip-off its set for 2 p.m. CT at Charles E. Smith Center.

Saturday's game will be on CBS Sports Network with John Sadak (PXP) and Roy Hibbert (Analyst) and can be listened to Rambler Sports Network with Scott Sudikoff (PXP) and Christian Thomas (Senior Analyst).

RAMBLINGS
• Loyola opened the week at home against Davidson, falling to the Wildcats by 15. Three Ramblers scored double-figures in the loss.
• Nic Anderson and Kymany Houinsou scored 13 each, while Alexander Richardson added 10. It marked season-highs for all three Ramblers.
• Joshua Ola-Joseph added seven points and eight rebounds for Loyola.
• The Ramblers split A-10 opening week with a win at Rhode Island and close home loss to Dayton last week.
• On the road, Justin Moore led all-scorers with 19 points in Loyola's win. He went 7-11 from the field and 3-4 from three-point range. Moore added a team-leading five assists and three steals.
• Miles Rubin scored 12 for Loyola on 5-6 from the field. He grabbed five boards and added two steals and one block. Kayde Dotson also finished in double-figures with 11 points.
• The Ramblers fell in a down-to-the-wire battle with Dayton at home, 70-68. Loyola led by as much as 13 points and shot only five free throws to Dayton's 25.
• Moore scored another 19 points for Loyola, while Dotson extended his double-figure scoring streak to seven straight games with 16 points for the Ramblers. He finished 6-16 from the field with four thees. 
• Rubin had his fourth double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. He added four blocks.
• Rubin's block total is up to 39, ranking 10th in the country and first in the A-10. His blocks per game average (2.44) ranks 17th in the nation and first in the A-10. Rubin has recorded two or more blocks in 12 of Loyola's 15 games this season.
• The junior center's rebounding average is also among the best of the A-10. Rubin is grabbing 6.8 rebounds per game, ranking fifth. He ranks fifth in total rebounds (108) and fourth in defensive rebounds per game (4.8).
• Moore's scoring averaging (13.3 ppg) leads the Ramblers and sits 13th in the conference. He also ranks third in total assists (66) and assists per game (4.4). 
• After losing the rebounding battle in the first six games of the year, Loyola won eight of the next nine games on the glass. Loyola faced a -3 margin in the win over Santa Clara but has since out rebounded Rhode Island by nine and Dayton by 15.
• Head coach Drew Valentine is in his fifth season at the helm. He has compiled an 88-62 overall record as head coach.

SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
George Washington goes into Saturday's match-up at 11-5 overall and 2-1 in A-10 play. The Revs picked up wins at Richmond and vs. La Salle before falling to Dayton by seven earlier this week. GW is 7-1 on its home court with the only loss to Delaware back in December. The Revs have one of the most productive offenses in the A-10 an country. Their effective field goal percentage (.573) ranks third in the conference and 30th in the NCAA, while their 86.7 points per game sits second in the league and 34th in the country.

Rafael Castro is GW's go-to scorer. He's averaging a team-leading 16.1 points per game for sixth best average in the A-10. He's shooting 67.2 percent from the field, which leads the A-10 and ranks fifth in the country. He's scored 10 or more points in 13 games this season, including a season-best 27 points at Richmond in the A-10 opener.

Chris Caputo is in his fourth season leading the Revs and holds a 63-51 record.

SERIES HISTORY
Loyola leads the all-time series, 5-3. The Ramblers won last season's meeting by 20 and Rubin had 10 in the win.
