Ramblers Down Dayton on Senior Night

CHICAGO – Men's soccer defended its unbeaten home record Saturday night with a 2-1 win over Dayton. The Ramblers wrapped up the year with a 5-0-3 showing at Loyola Soccer Park.

With the win, Loyola caps its season at 8-6-3 overall and 3-4-1 in A10 play.

How It Happened
Loyola held an edge in the first half, leading in shots 6-4. The Ramblers would find the back of the net first to take a 1-0 lead. Jack McFeely took a wide-open attempt that went off the crossbar to Luka Ivancic who put the rebound away low left past the keeper in the 39th minute.

The Flyers scored the equalizer in the final minute of the half. Braden Seel took the ball to the top of the box before firing it inside and in goal.

Loyola scored the game winner just out of the halftime break. Ivancic sent a corner kick into the box that Petar Janjic got his head on for the 2-1 lead. The Flyers had two more looks on goal and a shot that went off the post, but the Ramblers held on for the win.
