Loyola Chicago Dominates at Rhode Island

KINGSTON, R.I. -- Loyola Chicago dominated Rhode Island in another straight set victory while on the road on Sunday, Oct. 4. The Ramblers improved to 7-8 overall and 4-1 in Atlantic 10 play.

Sophomore Katie Scherer showed her offensive prowess with nine kills while hitting .471, and junior Kate Maley registered eight kills on a .615 hitting clip. Defensively, junior libero Sam Falk anchored with 12 digs and senior middle Avary DeBlieck put up five blocks.

Coach Quote: Amanda Berkley
"I'm of Kate [Maley] for how she played this weekend both offensively and defensively; she found ways to score and put up a solid block. We saw some players step up for each other offensively. Every day we are trying to grow and get better for each match and continue to play with less errors."
