CHICAGO –
Kayde Dotson scored a game-high 17 points and went 6-7 from the line in the final minute to help Loyola Chicago to a 68-62 win over George Washington in the regular season finale.
With the win, Loyola improves to 8-23 overall and 4-14 in A-10 play.

Drew Valentine. "Over the past five games, we've started to figure some things out. I am proud of our group and the way they've battled. They haven't given up, and we have some momentum going to Pittsburgh."
How It Happened
Saturday got off to a slow start with the Revs scoring first on a three nearly two minutes in. Loyola got on the board at the 14:24 for the game's next field goal. The teams were a combined 5-28 by the 11:22 media timeout. GW got ahead on a 7-0 run by the mid-way point for a nine-point lead, but the Ramblers answered with a 15-2 run to swing momentum.
Loyola took their first lead of the game after
Deywilk Tavarez was fouled on a three. He put away all three at the line and came back down and drilled another three with 5:08 left in the half. The Revs would tie it once more before the break, which was followed by five unanswered points from the Ramblers. Dotson hit a three with 30 seconds to go, while the Revs closed the half with an alley-oop. Ramblers led 31-27 at the half.
The teams traded threes to open the second before the Ramblers took control on a 9-3 run. Tavarez and
Xavier Amos capped the stretch with back-to-back threes to take an 11-point lead and force a GW timeout with 13:14 to go. The Ramblers kept the lead at 11 on three more possessions over the next six minutes.
The Revs chipped their way back with an 11-2 run to get within two by the three-minute mark. It was the closest GW could get down the stretch after Dotson stepped up big at the line, going 6-7 in the final minute. Loyola held on to win, 68-62.
