CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago women's basketball Head Coach Morgan Paige announced the additions of Angela Le Faou, Gabby Wilke, and Mireia Jurado, three experienced frontcourt and wing players who will join the Ramblers for the 2026-27 season.
Le Faou arrives in Rogers Park after competing at the University of Pittsburgh, where she appeared in 28 games during the 2025-26 campaign, earning one start. She shot 45 percent from the field (9-for-20) and totaled 40 rebounds on the season. She posted a career-high five points against Saint Francis on Dec. 18 and recorded a season-best four rebounds in back-to-back games at SMU (Feb. 15) and against Georgia Tech (Feb. 19).
A native of France, Le Faou attended Tony Parker Adéquat Academy and competed internationally with the Spanish U16 National Team. She holds dual French and Spanish nationality and is fluent in both languages.
"Angela is a post presence we identified as a key need in moving the program forward," said Paige. "She runs the floor well, is effective in ball-screen actions, and has the footwork to score in the low post. Most importantly, she is a rim protector and strong rebounder on the defensive end. Coming from the ACC, she will bring pace and physicality to the Ramblers."
Wilke joins Loyola following stops at Butler and South Dakota. In 26 games with the Bulldogs during the 2025-26 season, she averaged 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per game while shooting 41.9 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three-point range. At South Dakota in 2024-25, she played in all 31 games, making 16 starts, and averaged 5.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest, including a career-high 21-point performance at Kansas City.
A former Badger Conference Player of the Year, Wilke helped lead her high school team to back-to-back conference championships while also competing in golf and softball.
"Gabby is a forward who can play both at the basket and on the perimeter with her shooting ability," said Paige. "Her high IQ makes her an excellent passer and decision-maker in offensive actions. She is ready to bring her Big East experience and compete in the Maroon and Gold."
Jurado joins the Ramblers following a season at the University of Arizona, where she appeared in 30 games with 18 starts, averaging 3.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 19.7 minutes per game. She posted a career-high 12 points against Northern Colorado and grabbed a career-best eight rebounds in games against UC Irvine and Grambling State.
Prior to her time at Arizona, Jurado competed for Spain's Segle XXI club and played in Spain's Liga Femenina 2, continuing a development path that included extensive international experience with Spain's U16 and U17 national teams. She helped Spain earn a silver medal at the 2023 FIBA U16 European Championship and a bronze medal at the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup.
"MJ is a left-handed, physical wing who uses her high IQ to score at all three levels," said Paige. "Her length and versatility allow her to guard multiple positions. She has won at the highest levels internationally, and her Big 12 experience will bring toughness and an immediate impact to the Ramblers."
The additions of Le Faou, Wilke, and Jurado bring size, versatility, and high-level experience to Loyola's roster heading into next season.
