CHICAGO – The Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) tabbed Loyola Chicago's setter Ryan McElligott as the Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league's office on Tuesday morning.  

Out of Mundelein, Ill., McElligott facilitated Loyola's offense with 58 assists on the way to two top 15 conference wins last weekend. The Ramblers downed the then-No. 12 McKendree Bearcats 3-0 (April 2) before repeating the sweep against then-No. 11 Lindenwood (April 4).  

McElligott registered five service aces in the wins, including the match-high three against Lindenwood, and had the team-high eight digs. The 6-foot-5 senior also contributed six kills and two blocks.  

The weekly honor marks McElligott's third overall and second in 2026. It's the team's third MIVA Player of the Week award this year.  

Loyola closes out the regular season on the road at No. 20 Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday, April 9 at at 6 p.m. and at No. 7 Ball State on Saturday, April 11 at 3 p.m.
