Paige Assembles Experienced Staff to Lead Ramblers Into 2026-27

CHICAGO – Loyola University Chicago women's basketball head coach Morgan Paige has completed her staff, assembling a diverse group of basketball professionals with strong ties to the Atlantic 10 Conference to help lead the Ramblers into the 2026-27 season.

Brittany Pinkney

Pinkney joins the Ramblers after a highly successful run as an assistant coach at Richmond from 2019-20 through 2025-26, where she helped guide the program to unprecedented success. During her tenure, the Spiders captured back-to-back A-10 Conference regular season titles in 2023-24 and 2024-25, highlighted by a historic 28-7 campaign and program-record 17-game winning streak in 2024-25. Richmond also secured its first-ever NCAA Tournament victory with a win over Georgia Tech and made two NCAA Tournament appearances during her time on staff.

"Brittany is a highly experienced veteran with a history of championship success, especially in the A-10," said Paige. "She brings high-level basketball knowledge and leadership, along with a calming and caring presence that will have a direct impact on our student-athletes both on and off the court."

Pinkney played a key role in three 25-win seasons, while also helping the program claim its first A-10 regular season and tournament championships in 2023-24. She contributed to a semifinal run in the A-10 Tournament and a WNIT berth in 2022-23, and was instrumental in developing multiple all-conference players, including two-time A-10 Player of the Year Maggie Doogan. Her efforts earned national recognition, including selection to assistant coach watch lists and inclusion in the 2026 WBCA Next Generation Institute, which honors 35 of the nation's top assistant coaches.

Prior to her time at Richmond, Pinkney spent two seasons at Bucknell (2017-19), helping lead the Bison to a 28-win season, the 2019 Patriot League Championship, and an NCAA Tournament appearance. She also contributed to a WNIT berth in 2017-18 and helped develop multiple All-Patriot League guards, including Kate Walker.

Pinkney began her full-time coaching career at Mount St. Mary's (2013–17), where she helped guide the Mountaineers to 48 wins, coached and recruited multiple All-NEC performers, and contributed to the program's first WNIT appearance in 2013-14. She also spent time as a graduate assistant at Salisbury University women's basketball, assisting with operations and player development.

A former standout at VCU, Pinkney was a four-year player and team captain from 2004-08 before beginning a professional playing career in Slovakia from 2008-10.

"I am truly blessed to join the Rambler family and have the opportunity to work alongside Coach Paige," said Pinkney. "Her energy and passion for the game are unmatched. Hearing her vision for the program aligns perfectly with my own, and I can't wait to get things rolling. Go Ramblers!"

Chloe Rice

Rice joins Loyola after most recently serving as an assistant coach at Grand Canyon for the 2025-26 season. During her time with the Antelopes, the program secured a win in the Mountain West Championship, defeating Utah State.

"Chloe has worked her way up in the Division I space from the ground up and has developed within championship-level environments at the highest level," said Paige. "Her work ethic and ability to connect with our student-athletes make her a great fit for our program. I'm excited to empower Chloe as she begins this next chapter in her coaching career."

Prior to Grand Canyon, Rice spent two seasons on the staff at South Carolina under Hall of Fame head coach Dawn Staley. She served as a graduate assistant from June 2022 through May 2024, contributing to the Gamecocks' 2023-24 national championship season and 2022-23 Final Four run. Her responsibilities included opponent scouting, coordinating logistics for the Dawn Staley Basketball Camps and serving as an assistant recruiting coordinator during the 2023-24 campaign.

A former collegiate guard, Rice played at Saint Louis and Bradley, helping lead Bradley to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2021. A native of Marion, Iowa — the same hometown as head coach Morgan Paige — she was named team captain for the 2021-22 season and earned Missouri Valley Conference Honor Roll recognition in 2021 and 2022.

Rice earned her bachelor's degree in sports communication from Bradley and completed a master's degree in sport and entertainment management at South Carolina.

"I'm extremely grateful to join this staff and university," said Rice. "I want to thank Coach Paige and the athletic department for this incredible opportunity. I'm excited to continue growing alongside them and to help carry on the great tradition of Loyola Ramblers basketball."

Ryan Colby

Colby joins the Ramblers after serving as a graduate assistant at Illinois State from 2024-25 through 2025-26. During his time in Normal, the Redbirds produced back-to-back 24-win seasons and reached the WNIT championship game in consecutive years, finishing as runner-up both seasons.

"Ryan has grown and developed within programs that have sustained proven success," said Paige. "His attention to detail and expertise in film will be instrumental to the continued growth of our program, both on and off the court."

Prior to Illinois State, Colby spent three seasons as a student manager with Iowa State from 2021-22 through 2023-24. In that role, he helped integrate ShotTracker, a sensor-based analytics system used in practices and games, while also contributing to scouting and data analysis to support game preparation. The Cyclones made three NCAA Tournament appearances during his tenure and captured the 2022-23 Big 12 Tournament title.

Colby earned his bachelor's degree from Iowa State and a master's degree in sport management from Illinois State.

"I'm excited and grateful to join Coach Mo's staff and help build something special at Loyola," Colby said. "I can't wait to get to work. Go Ramblers!"

Ashton Lozano

Lozano returns to Rogers Park after most recently serving at the Atlantic 10 Conference office as assistant director of championships from 2025 to 2026. He also spent the previous year as the Don DiJulia Fellow, gaining valuable experience in league operations and championship administration.

"I'm thrilled to welcome Ashton back to Loyola," said Paige. "As an alum who understands how our athletic department operates and thrives, there is no better person to help lead the logistics of our program. He is passionate about women's basketball and will help us operate at the highest level."

Lozano is already well-acquainted with Loyola's program and culture, having previously worked with the Loyola Chicago women's basketball team as a student manager from 2021-22 through 2023-24. In that role, he assisted with the organization of team resources, coordinated game operations, and supported logistics for team travel and road contests.

A Loyola graduate, Lozano earned his bachelor's degree in sport management.

"I'm thrilled for the opportunity to return home and work with Coach Morgan Paige, the women's basketball staff and our student-athletes," said Lozano. "Loyola Chicago is a very special place to me, and I'm incredibly excited to once again be part of such a special program. The chance to return to Rogers Park, contribute to Rambler women's basketball and continue growing in my career was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. I want to thank Coach Paige, Holly Strauss-O'Brien and Steve Watson for welcoming me back to the staff."

Jordan McCann

Chicago native Jordan McCann begins his fifth season as an assistant coach the Maroon and Gold in 2026-27. He works primarily with the Ramblers' guards and has helped lead Loyola to new milestones, including the program's first appearance in the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) this past season. Loyola earned wins over Norfolk State and FGCU in the opening rounds, marking the first time in program history it has recorded multiple postseason wins.

"Jordan embodies everything Loyola stands for through his character and work ethic," said Paige. "His energy and commitment to growth and success align perfectly with the direction of our program. As someone who is passionate about the student-athlete experience, I'm excited to welcome Jordan back to the Rambler women's basketball family."

McCann has developed several standout guards at Loyola. Sam Galanopoulos earned All-Atlantic 10 Third Team honors in 2023-24, surpassed 1,000 career points, and led the team in scoring (418 points) before going on to play professionally in Greece. Alyssa Fisher led the team in three-pointers made (49), free throws made (110), and steals (49) in 2023-24 while finishing second in scoring (417 points). Alexa Kinas ranked second in the A-10 in steals per game (2.4) in 2025-26 and recorded 80 steals, seventh-most in a single season in program history.

McCann was selected as one of 32 rising professionals for the 2025 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Next Generation Institute.

"I'm incredibly thankful and blessed for the opportunity Coach Paige has given me and my family," said McCann. "I love her vision for the program, and Loyola has been tremendous to me and my family. We're excited to continue being part of this great program and can't wait to get to work with such a special group."
