CHICAGO – Loyola University Chicago women's soccer opens its 2026 preseason schedule today (Aug. 5), hosting Milwaukee in an exhibition match at Loyola Soccer Park. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m., and admission is free as the Ramblers debut the program's newly installed turf field.
Loyola wraps up exhibition play Saturday, traveling to Ann Arbor, Michigan, to face Michigan at 2 p.m. CT.
Head coach Jon Sandoval welcomes 10 newcomers to the 2026 roster, including goalkeeper Anna Bigenwald (Indian Head Park, Ill.); defenders Olivia Beam (Eureka, Mo.) and Sarah Collins (Rochester Hills, Mich.); midfielder Chloe Cline (Menomonee Falls, Wis.); midfielder/forward Annie Fitzgerald (Downers Grove, Ill.); midfielders Riga Kallaba (Chicago), Ana Sofia Mrotzek (Oak Park, Ill.) and Josslyn Weissman (Minneapolis, Minn.); midfielder/forward Addison Schaffer (Lake in the Hills, Ill.); and forward Victoria Zeni (Toronto, Ontario).
The Ramblers also added assistant coach Camryn Hart to the coaching staff. Hart arrives after one season at Purdue Fort Wayne and joins Sandoval and assistant coaches Brady Moody and Sean Palacios.
Loyola opens the regular season Aug. 12 against Central Michigan at Loyola Soccer Park before traveling to Iowa (Aug. 15) and Michigan State (Aug. 19). The Ramblers return home to host Illinois State (Aug. 30) before visiting Northwestern (Sept. 3), welcoming DePaul (Sept. 6) and closing nonconference play with road matches at Northern Illinois (Sept. 10) and Marquette (Sept. 13).
Atlantic 10 play begins Sept. 20 at Fordham. Loyola's conference home schedule features La Salle (Sept. 24), Dayton (Sept. 27), Saint Louis (Oct. 11), Duquesne (Oct. 18) and Saint Joseph's (Nov. 1). The Ramblers will also travel to Rhode Island (Oct. 4), St. Bonaventure (Oct. 8), George Washington (Oct. 22) and VCU (Oct. 25) before concluding the regular season against Saint Joseph's on Nov. 1 at Loyola Soccer Park.
