2023-24: Appeared in 31 games this season averaging 7.7 minutes per game... neared a double-double with nine points and eight rebounds vs. New Orleans (Nov. 18)... posted three games with at least five rebounds... tallied six boards and three assists vs. George Mason (Feb. 24)... made three steals vs. Goshen (Dec. 9)... blocked two shots in the opener vs. FAU (Nov. 8).

2022-23: Was 1-of-3 Ramblers to appear in all 31 games this season and made 19 starts … One of the most effective players around the rim nationally, ranking fifth in the country in 2-point field goal percentage (according to kenpom.com) at 73.3% … Finished fifth on the team in scoring average (7.0) and second in rebounding average (4.2) … Scored in double figures nine times on the year, including a pair of 16-point performances in A-10 play to set a new season high … Recorded a double-double in Loyola’s season opener against Fairleigh Dickinson (Nov. 7), finishing with 15 points and bringing in a career-high 15 rebounds … Had five games this year with a perfect field goal percentage (min. 3 FG attempts), including three games with a perfect 6-for-6 effort from the field … Brought in at least one rebound in all 31 games and scored in all but two games.

2021-22: Was a key contributor off the bench, especially late in the year, and provided the Ramblers with 3.5 points and 1.6 rebounds per outing, while connecting on 58.7 percent (44-for-75) of his field goal attempts … Scored in double digits off the bench on three occasions, with Loyola going 3-0 in those contests … Tallied 10.5 ppg through the first two games of the year and dropped in a season-high 15 points and cradled four rebounds in 15 minutes of play against Florida Gulf Coast (Nov. 13) … Played some productive minutes in a neutral-site victory over San Francisco (Jan. 6), going for six points, two boards, an assist and a steal in 14 minutes of action … Scored eight points and hauled in two rebounds to provide a spark in a road win over Missouri State (Feb. 6) … Averaged 5.5 ppg and 2.4 rpg over his final eight appearances of the year … Opened up his late-season surge by recording a 10-point, three-rebound effort, despite logging only 10 minutes, in a victory at Valparaiso (Feb. 16) … Had 10 points and three boards at Illinois State (Feb. 21) … Registered seven points and equaled a season high with four rebounds at Northern Iowa (Feb. 26) … Picked up eight points and two boards versus Bradley (March 4) and followed that up with seven points, four caroms and two steals against Northern Iowa (March 5) at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship … Converted 19 of his final 27 (.704) shots from the field.
 
2020-21: Welch made a big jump from his freshman season and was a key player off the bench, especially in the first half of the season … Finished the season with averages of 4.9 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in 28 appearances, which included his first career start … Sank 60.9 percent (53-for-87) of his field goal attempts and 33.3 percent (10-for-30) of his treys …Loyola went 5-1 when he scored seven or more points … Through the first 17 outings of the year, put up 7.4 ppg and 2.4 rpg … Had seven points and three rebounds in the season opener against Lewis (Dec. 5) … Made his first career start against Saint Francis (Ill.) (Dec. 22) and erupted 17 points to go with three steals … Came back to fire in 10 points in only 11 minutes of play in a victory over Illinois State (Dec. 27) … Was superb in a road loss at Indiana State (Jan. 10), recording a career-best 18 points and three rebounds in only 17 minutes of action … Totaled 10 points in a victory over preseason MVC favorite Northern Iowa (Jan. 17) … Doled out a career-high six assists and pitched in nine points and three boards in a victory at Valparaiso (Jan. 20) … Matched a season high with four rebounds in only eight minutes versus Southern Illinois (Feb. 26) … Named to the MVC Honor Roll.
 
2019-20: Played in 28 games, all in a reserve role, and contributed 1.8 points and 1.1 rebounds per game, while shooing 58.6 percent (17-for-29) from the field … Through the first eight contests of the year, put up 2.8 ppg and 1.3 rpg … Made his collegiate debut in the season opener versus UC Davis (Nov. 5), posting three points and a pair of boards … Averaged 3.3 ppg and 1.7 rpg in three contests at the Cayman Islands Classic, netting five points against Colorado State (Nov. 26) … Opened Missouri Valley Conference action by going for four points in only four minutes of play at Valparaiso (Dec. 30) and for the year, wound up tallying 4.0 ppg and 1.7 rpg in three contests against the Crusaders … Ripped down four rebounds at Indiana State (Feb. 5) and dished out a season-best four assists in a win against Valpo (Feb. 9) … Matched a season high by pumping in five points, while notching three boards and an assist, against Valpo in the quarterfinal round of the MVC Championship (March 6) … Recorded 3.3 ppg and 1.0 rpg over his final three appearances of the season … Knocked won 12 of his final 15 (.800) attempts from the foul line … Committed only two turnovers over his final 15 appearances of the year.
 
High School: Helped Naperville North to a second straight DuPage Valley Conference title as a senior in 2018-19, averaging 21.0 points and 8.6 rebounds per outing … Scored 20 or more points 18 times and eclipsed the 30-point mark six times in 2018-19 … Named 2018-19 Naperville Sun Boys Basketball Player of the Year … Collected nine votes for 2019 Mr. Basketball of Illinois … During his junior season, contributed 13.5 ppg, 6.6 rpg and 3.3 apg, helping the Huskies to a 26-3 overall record as well as conference and regional championships … Was rated as high as the No. 5 senior in the state of Illinois … Standout goalkeeper on the Naperville North soccer team, earning Gatorade Illinois Boys Soccer Player of the Year accolades in 2017 after registering a 0.38 goals-against average and 19 shutouts as the Huskies won their second straight state title … Was the starting goalkeeper and recorded 22 shutouts in 2018 as Naperville North won its third consecutive IHSA state crown.
