Biography

2018-19: Capped his collegiate career in sensational fashion, earning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year accolades, giving Loyola back-to-back Larry Bird Trophy winners … Also collected NABC First Team All-District 16 honors … Contributed 15.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 rebounds per game … Led the MVC in league games only with 18.1 ppg … Started all 72 games in his two-year Loyola career … Scored in double digits in 28 outings, seven times totaling 20 or more points … Scored in double figures in each of the first nine outings … Finished his collegiate career with 1,539 points, 942 of which came in two seasons at Loyola … Also finished with 531 career rebounds and 334 career assists … Just missed a double-double with 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a pair of steals against Niagara (Nov. 14) … Much like the NCAA Sweet 16 game last year, had a big showing against No. 5 Nevada (Nov. 27), recording 24 points, nine boards, two assists and a pair of steals … Notched his first double-double as a Rambler with 14 points, 10 rebounds and six assists against Ball State (Dec. 5) … Reached double figures in scoring 16 consecutive contests, December 22 through February 20 … Dished out a career-best nine assists against Norfolk State (Dec. 16) and then doled out seven helpers two nights later versus Benedictine (Dec. 18) … Exploded for a then-career-high 28 points and added five boards and five helpers in a come-from-behind victory at Drake (Jan. 5) … Posted 21 points in a win over Illinois State (Jan. 12) … Over a seven-game stretch January 30 through February 20, averaged 21.0 ppg … Victimized Drake yet again February 5 when he pumped in a career-high 32 points and pitched in eight rebounds, five assists and two steals … Finished the year with 30.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.0 apg and 1.5 spg in two games versus MVC co-champion Drake … The 32 points were the most by a Rambler since Milton Doyle went for 35 at Bradley January 7, 2017 … Had back-to-back 20-point performances in February, going for 23 versus Missouri State (Feb. 17) and 21 against Evansville (Feb. 20) … Hauled in 10 rebounds and added eight points at Southern Illinois (Feb. 24) … Punctuated his Gentile Arena career by delivering 26 points in a Senior Night victory over Bradley (March 2) that gave Loyola a share of its second straight MVC regular season title.
 
2017-18: Named to the MVC Championship All-Tournament Team … Ranked second on the team in scoring with 11.1 points per game in his first season of eligibility at Loyola after transferring from Fairleigh Dickinson … One of only two Ramblers to start all 38 contests … Also pitched in 4.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 steals per game, while shooting 51.4 percent (160-for-311) from the field, 38.7 percent (29-for-75) from three-point range, and 74.7 percent (74-for-99) from the charity stripe … Loyola went 19-0 when he dished out three or more assists and 10-1 when he scored 14 or more points … Accounted for 10.8 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 2.8 apg and 1.0 spg in five NCAA tournament games … Scored in double digits 23 times, twice scoring 20+ points … Got off to a blazing start, registering 15.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 3.3 apg, while shooting 60.6 percent (40-for-66) from the field and 47.3 percent (9-for-19) from long distance in the first seven games of the year … In his Loyola debut, racked up 16 points, five rebounds and four assists in a season-opening win over Wright State (Nov. 10) … Nearly recorded double-doubles in back-to-back outings, going for 12 points and a season-best nine boards at UMKC (Nov. 16) and 18 points and eight caroms versus Samford (Nov. 19) … Tabbed MVC Newcomer of the Week on November 20 … Netted a season-high 23 points and added six boards and three assists in a win over UNC Wilmington (Nov. 24) at the Savannah Invitational … Led the team with 19 points and kicked in five rebounds, three assists, a block and two steals in a victory against Evansville (Dec. 30) … Totaled 17 points, hitting 8-of-10 shots from the field, as Loyola won at Drake (Jan. 24) to claim possession of first place in The Valley … Torched Evansville again, this time for 22 points at Ford Center (Feb. 18) … Scored 13 points against UNI (March 2) and 12 points versus Bradley (March 3) at the MVC Championship … Accounted for 18 points, five assists, four rebounds,  and hit a gigantic three-pointer that just beat the shot clock with six seconds remaining to seal the outcome in a 69-68 victory over Nevada (March 22) in a NCAA Sweet 16 contest … Notched 13 points to help Loyola to a 78-62 win versus Kansas State (March 24) in the Elite 8 as the Ramblers advanced to the Final Four for the first time in 55 years … Tallied his 1,000thcareer point in that win over K-State … Scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds versus Michigan in the NCAA national semifinals.
 
2016-17: Per NCAA rules, sat out the season after transferring from Fairleigh Dickinson University. 
 
2015-16 (At Fairleigh Dickinson): Played in 57 games in two seasons at Fairleigh Dickinson ... Started all 33 games his sophomore season to help the Knights to the NCAA Tournament ... Averaged 11.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while playing over 30 minutes per contest ... Handed out 88 assists against just 59 turnovers during 2015-16 season ... Scored 597 total points in his two seasons ... Reached double figures in 20 games as a sophomore, including 13 consecutive games from late January into March ... Recorded double-double of 18 points and career-high 12 rebounds against Lafayette (Dec. 9) ... Went 10-of-16 from the floor (4-for-7 3FGs) and finished with career-high 26 points and eight rebounds against Mount St. Mary's (Jan. 24) ... Recorded a block in the final second of overtime to preserve a victory over Saint Francis (Jan. 28) ... Scored the game-winning basket against Towson (Dec. 18) with a driving layup in the final seconds.
 
2014-15 (At Fairleigh Dickinson):Played in 24 games and earned two starts … Averaged 9.1 ppg, 3.3 rpg and 1.6 spg, while playing 21.8 minutes per outing … Shot 52.7 percent from the field … Had a big night against Towson (Dec. 29), tallying 18 points, six rebounds and five steals … Ended the season on a high note, registering 16 points, six boards, a steal and an assist versus Central Connecticut (Feb. 28).
 
High School:Helped his team to a 30-2 record and its first-ever New Jersey Tournament of Champions title his senior year ... That team also was ranked 12th in the USA Today Super 25 poll and won its third consecutive New Jersey State Non-Public A state title ... Averaged nearly 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals per game as a senior ... Finished career with 1,863 points, second most in school history behind former NBA star and Duke great Jay Williams ... Named Third Team All-State, Second Team All-Non-Public and Second Team All-Senior by the Star-Ledger ... Selected to the 2014 MSG Varsity All-Metro Boys Second Team and the 2014 MSG Varsity All-New Jersey First Team ... Four-time All-Middlesex County First Team selection ... High school teammate of NBA first-round draft picks Karl-Anthony Towns and Wade Baldwin IV.
