Brendan Finnerty

Brendan Finnerty is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Loyola University Chicago men's soccer program. Finnerty arrives in Rogers Park after most recently serving as a graduate assistant coach at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbanais, Ill.

During his one season at Olivet Nazarene, Finnerty helped guide the team to an impressive 16-4-2 overall record. The Tigers rolled through Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC), finishing with a final mark of 11-0-1, en route to sweeping the league's regular season and tournament titles as they earned a berth in the 2016 NAIA Men's Soccer Tournament. Seven Tigers earned All-CCAC honors, while three were named Honorable Metnion NAIA All-Americans.

Finnerty also has coaching experience with Lansing United of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) and the Michigan Rush Soccer Club. 

Finnerty starred on the collegiate level at Wheaton College in suburban Wheaton, Ill.  The Holt, Mich. prodcut appeared in 63 games during his four-year stay with the Thunder, highlighted by a career-best 26 appearances during his a senior season that saw the team finish with a 22-4 overall record and advance to the championship game of the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament. 

Finnerty is a 2015 graduate of Wheaton College where he majored in Communications.
