Former Northwestern standout Abi Scheid begins her fourth season as Director of Basketball Operations at Loyola Chicago in 2024-25. Scheid, who served as the program's Director of Player Developemnt in 2020-21 before being promoted to her current role, oversees team travel, film exchange, and practice setup.
Scheid recently wrapped up a highly-decorated career with the Wildcats, where she finished with 1,146 career points during her four-year stay in Evanston, Ill. The Elk River, Minn. product earned First Team All-Big Ten honors in 2019-20, averaging 11.5 points and 4.6 rebounds across 30 appearances, all of which came in a starting role, as she helped lead Northwestern to its first Big Ten regular-season title in 30 years. Scheid finished the year at a Big Ten-best 47.7 percent clip from beyond the three-point arc, a mark that ranked second overall nationally.
A two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Scheid graduated from Northwestern University in 2020 with a degree in Learning & Organizational Change.
