Jenna Rubino-McCormick

Jenna Rubino-McCormick was named the program's assistant coach & director of player personnel in July 2023. Rubino-McCormick brings with her 20 years of combined playing and coaching experience.
 
Rubino-McCormick tipped off her playing career at DePaul in 2003 helping the Blue Demons to the 2006 NCAA Sweet 16 and the 2004 Conference USA Championship. In 2006, she earned All-Big East Second Team honors. Rubino-McCormick was also named the 2007 Big East Scholar Athlete of the Year, a two time Scholar Athlete Team member, and the 2006-07 team captain.
 
Her success at the collegiate level led her to the WNBA draft and was selected by the Chicago Sky in 2007. Rubino-McCormick then took her talents to Italy having been drafted to the highest professional league in the country. She helped Famila Schio win the EuroCup Championship and the Italian League Championship.
 
Following her professional career, Rubino-McCormick switched gears to coaching with stints DePaul, Hickory Creek Middle School, Lincoln Way East, Alan B Shepard.
 
In 2021, Rubino-McCormick began coaching the Illinois Dream AAU 16/17U squad where developing practice plans, implementing offensive and defensive strategies, and improving player development and fundamentals were her primary goals.
 
In addition to her playing and coaching experience, Rubino-McCormick has spent the last 12 years in high school counseling. Since 2012, she has been with District 218 serving as the college lead counselor and the freshmen advisory counselor.
 
Rubino-McCormick provided academic, social-emotional, and college/career counseling to all students via individual, small group, and large group sessions.
 
Her counseling career began at Lincoln Way East in 2011 where she served as a counseling intern. She provided similar support to the students while also helping students align courses with career interests.
 
Rubino-McCormick earned her bachelor of arts in journalism and communications from DePaul in 2007. She returned to the university in 2009 to complete her master of education in counseling in 2012.
