Maria Noucas-Williamson

Maria Noucas-Williamson enters her fifth season as an assistant coach with the Loyola University Chicago women's basketball program in 2020-21. Noucas-Williamson also serves as the team's recruiting coordinator.

"Maria's track record speaks for itself," Loyola head women's basketball coach Kate Achter said. "She is known as a tireless worker, and also as someone with tremendous recruiting skills. Maria is a rising star in our game, and I have every confidence that she will be completely invested in bringing the best student-athletes to Loyola. She will be a shining example to the young women in our program. We are very lucky to have her on our team."

Noucas-Williamson arrives at Loyola following a four-year stint as an assistant coach at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. Noucas, who also served as the Big Green's recruiting coordinator, assisted in the development of Lakin Roland, who became the first member of the Big Green to earn First Team All-Ivy League honors since 2009-10 following the 2015-16 season.

Prior to her time at Dartmouth, Noucas-Williamson served four seasons on the coaching staff at Navy. The Portsmouth, N.H. native mentored a trio of All-Patriot League selections in Annapolis, Md. During her tenure with the Midshipmen, Navy recorded a pair of 20-win seasons and made back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament in 2011 and 2012 after capturing the program's first two Patriot League Tournament titles.

"I'm extremely excited to join the Loyola University Chicago Women's Basketball staff and to work with Coach Achter," Noucas commented. "Recruiting to a University with high academic and athletic prestige in a world-renowned city such as Chicago is an incredible opportunity. Led by the inspiring vision of Athletics Director Steve Watson, Loyola Athletics is a special family to join. I can't wait to get started with our current team and to compete in the Missouri Valley Conference."

Noucas-Williamson graduated from Bowdoin College, where she was a four-year letterwinner on the Polar Bears' women's basketball team, in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. In 2013, she earned her Master's Degree in Coaching and Leadership from Ohio University.
