Colby joined the Ramblers in May 2026 after serving as a graduate assistant at Illinois State from 2024-25 through 2025-26. During his time in Normal, the Redbirds produced back-to-back 24-win seasons and reached the WNIT championship game in consecutive years, finishing as runner-up both seasons.

Prior to Illinois State, Colby spent three seasons as a student manager with Iowa State from 2021-22 through 2023-24. In that role, he helped integrate ShotTracker, a sensor-based analytics system used in practices and games, while also contributing to scouting and data analysis to support game preparation. The Cyclones made three NCAA Tournament appearances during his tenure and captured the 2022-23 Big 12 Tournament title.

Colby earned his bachelor’s degree from Iowa State and a master’s degree in sport management from Illinois State.
