Top-seeded Ramblers open postseason play Friday evening against Youngstown State

Chicago, Ill. (November 18, 2002) -- The pairings are set for this weekend's 2002 Horizon League Volleyball Championship hosted by UW-Green Bay. The tournament begins Fri., Nov. 22 and concludes with the championship match at 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Loyola (24-5, 13-1 Horizon) enters the championship as the top seed and will face No. 8 Youngstown State on Friday evening at 5 p.m. The Ramblers, who have won 11 consecutive matches and 22 of their last 23, swept the season series from the Penguins this year and are 5-0 lifetime against YSU, including a 3-0 win in last year's Horizon League quarterfinals. The winner will face the winner of the UW-Green Bay/Illinois-Chicago match in a Saturday evening (5 p.m.) semifinal.
