BEACHWOOD, Ohio - After a 90-minute delay, rain forced the cancellation of today's scheduled final round of the Telich/Sunlife Financial CSU Invitational hosted by Cleveland State at Canterbury Golf Club. With the tournament shortened to a 36-hole event due to the inclement weather, Loyola University Chicago finishes eighth, with a team score of 605, in the 15-team field.
Players were able to get through six or seven holes before being taken off the course today and following a delay, the course was ruled unplayable. Thus, Malone earns the team title with a 581 and finishes six strokes ahead of Oakland (587). Justin Lower of Malone picks up medalist honors with a 36-hole mark of 141 (71-70).
